UACES, the academic association for contemporary European Studies, is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and holding a two day conference in Florence, Italy.

The conference will look at the Historical Archives of the European Union (HAEU) and archives of UACES to examine the past relationship between EU and UK and look at the future relationship. The conference will also look at the impact of Brexit on European Studies in the UK.
There will be an evening drinks reception on 12 October 2017 in the grounds of the Villa Salviati (home of HAEU) at the European University Institute, Florence.
Over the two day conference there will be speakers from University of Loughborough, University College Cork, University of Strathclyde, Aberystwyth University, European University Institute, LSE, University of Surrey, Cardiff University, University of Edinburgh, Georgetown University and HAEU.
