SEED Bath is a new network of groups campaigning locally on Social, Environmental, Ethical and Democratic issues. Its aim is to communicate ideas and events of common interest. It is hosting an afternoon talk and panel discussion in central Bath in November.
Is it time for a fairer voting system: one where we can vote according to our convictions and parliamentary seats reflect the will of the people? Would proportional representation (PR) be better?
What is “proportional representation” anyway, and which type of PR would bring about a truly representative result? How effective have such systems been in countries where they have been adopted?
